New York Homeowners Construction Co. LLC was named the 2012-2013 Outstanding Achievement Award winner for the Assisted Home Performance with Energy Star Program.

New York Homeowners Construction Co. LLC was named the 2012-2013 Outstanding Achievement Award winner for the Assisted Home Performance with Energy Star Program. The award is one of three statewide honors given by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to contractors in the Home Performance with Energy Star Program.

The Assisted Home Performance with Energy Star Program provides homeowners a comprehensive home energy assessment and grants for energy efficiency upgrades with the help of a participating Home Performance contractor, such as New York Homeowners Construction Co.

New York Homeowners is a participating contractor in the Home Performance with Energy Star Program serving customers in the Central New York, Mohawk Valley and Southern Tier areas, including Broome, Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga and Oswego Counties.

The Outstanding Achievement Award was given by NYSERDA in February based on a variety of criteria, including excellence in customer service and quality of work, comprehensive home performance work scopes and energy savings.

Under the Assisted Energy Star Program, income eligible households can qualify for a subsidy of up to $5,000 to pay for up to 50 percent of a qualified home energy efficiency project. NYSERDA provides expertise and funding to help New Yorkers increase energy efficiency, use renewable energy and reduce their reliance on fossil fuels, among other objectives. PR
