Best practice: As manager of 20 salespeople, Alex wanted to know the outcome of every lead at a glance and be able to get real-time numbers and answers to data-driven questions: What are the outcomes when selling to one member of a couple vs. both? What’s the close ratio with different options and price points? He also wanted a system that would update in real time if he added new products or changed prices. So Lindus hired CRMCulture, a software development company that specializes in creating Salesforce-based systems. Although the cost was steep—he estimates the pricetag at $500,000—the benefits are significant. For example, office staff used to need between four and 20 hours per week to complete data-entry tasks that now take them minutes.
