Design: A Tour of America’s Most Daring Homes

May 19, 2015

British design web magazine Dezeen selects a collection of what it calls “the most impressive examples of American residential architecture.”

The homes that made the list deviate from the classic, single-family detached home often associated with American suburban life.

Examples include a hillside, timber-clad cube home by Anmahian Winton Architects in a wooded area in New York State, and a black home with a slatted-timber gallery raised above the porch near the shore of Lake Superior in Wisconsin.

Take a look at the homes at Dezeen.
