I previously worked as a business analyst, but I would come home and be stressed for hours. It got to a point where my wife made me go back to school for interior design and architecture. It’s never too late to make a change. My winding road has helped me find my place, but the transition was a little rocky at the beginning because I didn’t have a mentor.
Advice to others: I want to ensure my knowledge in the field is passed on. When I go to the grave, all my experience goes with me and it will then take the next person to fill my spot so much longer. When you start pulling somebody up, you create a bigger chain and network to make sure the people behind you have a footing to stand on.
