The team searched all over the world for the right finishes, hardware, and fixtures needed to retain the modernist charm of this 1950s home (originally designed for architect Eero Saarinen in 1952), while completely gutting the house to provide modern upgrades.
Sited on a pond, the home offers long east-west sight lines that stretch from the breezeway entrance, past a bedroom, through the kitchen and living room, all the way to the master bedroom. The vista is interrupted in just two places by two floating interior cubes, one for the master bath and the other for the kitchen.
