Keechi Creek Builders, Houston

Age 36

Brandon Lynch is a natural born leader. A big-picture thinker with the heart of an entrepreneur, he started his own company in 2007 while still in his 20s. Since then, he has expanded from smaller jobs to ambitious whole-house remodels.

But Brandon’s greatest strength may be his visionary approach. Rather than focus only on the jobs in his market today, he looks at the remodeling industry overall and tries to place himself in the sweet spot for future trends. To that end, he’s a Certified Green Professional, a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, and is working on a Graduate Master Builder designation from the National Association of Home Builders. He also educates consumers about universal design and sustainable remodeling practices through seminars and television spots.

Recently Brandon entered the custom building market and is constructing spec homes in two high-end neighborhoods in the Houston area. His goal is to differentiate his company’s work from the uninspiring designs that “are like something you might pull from a magazine of ‘1,000 House Plans.’” Instead, Brandon believes that “a house must have a soul before it can become a home.”

This passion for high ideals fuels not only his boots-on-the-ground remodeling, but also his commitment to giving back. Like everything else he does, Brandon’s charitable activities are Texas-size: Last year, he led a team of 12 companies to remodel the Santa Maria Hostel, a facility that helps women in crisis.
