Over the past year, we’ve generated 10 to 15 leads per month through our website’s live chat function, and that’s just not exciting to me.
Many contractors have stagnant live chat features on their websites and homeowners are used to robotic responses from them. I wanted to find something to help differentiate our website and convert more visitors to leads.
My SEO provider introduced me to Intaker, which specializes in law firm marketing technology, including live chats. They were willing to onboard their first-ever contractor and work with me.
Intaker has a video message feature that immediately captures the attention of prospects visiting my website. A visitor can click on my face at the bottom right corner of the page to see my short message thanking them for visiting our website.
Intaker’s platform for recording and uploading videos is very user-friendly. I can change the video at any time, like when I want to highlight a marketing promo for a given week or month. And I can create different videos for individual pages on my website.
A graphic overlay appears on my main page video that asks, “What kind of remodeling project can we assist you with?” and features clickable buttons for windows, siding, doors, patio covers, and warranty requests.
It’s still an automated chat, but the video gives us an opportunity to be more engaging so that we come across as real and local to homeowners.
Intaker provides me with analytics, including video view counts and how many times a video has been closed out. This information lets me know if I should adjust my messaging or continue using the current video.
