 A Renovation Power Couple: 

I married my childhood sweetheart. We met when we were 13 at a going-away cookout for my uncle. She was the first girl I kissed. We were off and on dating throughout our teenage years and ended up getting pregnant at 18. I wasn’t quite ready. By the time our daughter was born, we weren’t together. So she buckled down, got her real estate license, and really took off.

She got her real estate license and really took off. We opened our own business, a renovate and resale program. I remodel homes and she sells them. 

A couple of years later, we happened to bump into each other, and in that moment I was just taken back by her again. It felt like it did when I was 13. We’ve been together ever since, 25 years. During that time, we started working together. We just opened our own business, a renovate and resale program. I remodel homes and she sells them for clients. We’ve been blessed. My favorite project is actually a shower I built for her. Me, I just take a shower, but that’s her meditating space. It has color-changing lights, aromatherapy, and 10 showerheads. It’s been completed for a while, but she still says how much it means to her.
