Best practice: Sydney takes copious notes throughout all of her projects, starting at the kickoff meeting with sales and the designer. The note taking continues when walking the job with the homeowner at various stages of the project as well as during talks with subcontractors and inspectors. When alone on the site, Sydney also updates a daily/weekly/monthly punchlist that helps her stay on top of tasks. She refers to her notes often. “It ensures that nothing gets missed,” she says, “and that’s crucial to my jobs being completed in a quality manner that’s up to Atlanta Design & Build standards.”
