Best practice: Get Dwell has a robust handyman service, and Rocky was struggling with supplying estimates to all of the clients. Then he changed the way he handles incoming calls. His new system offers the option of sending a professional to the home at an hourly rate, with the work completed right then and there. That pre-close over the phone not only filled up the calendar but allowed the handyman division to serve as a gateway to bigger jobs. “When someone is in the house, they see other things,” Rocky says. “Also, we track our clients and keep them in the CRM. Whenever something happens, like high winds, we’ll send out a mailer about fence repairs and offer a discount to current customers.”
