We leverage video a lot in our business and have been using a video messaging app called Quickpage. You see it in the automotive and real estate markets, but it works for home improvement as well. We’ve been leveraging it for about two years now.
Once a homeowner books an appointment, the call center rep sends a video. We thank the customer and provide them content to consume prior to their appointment. The Quickpage app allows you to send an email or text with the video embedded directly inside it. You can create the video directly in the app, upload one, or use Youtube.
The morning of the appointment, the sales rep will send a video introducing themselves. They’ll reference the project so the homeowner knows it’s truly meant for them.
We also use Quickpage for leads that don’t convert. If there’s a lead that we’ve been trying to call for a week, we’ll send out a personalized video saying, “Hey, so-and-so, I know you’re interested in getting your windows replaced, and so here’s some great content. When you’re ready to give us a call we would be glad to help you.”
We’ve found that the personal touch really makes a difference and have seen engagement rates in the high 90s for the videos and high 80s on people actually consuming the articles as well. Quickpage starts at $33 per month with a seven day trial period.
