DuPont Great Stuff Wide Spray

We’re all familiar with DuPont and their Great Stuff line of foam products. Their newer product is their Wide Spray foam sealer, which has many new features. Most notably, you can spray it from up to 20 inches away.

It comes in a box with two canisters and a series of nozzles. One of them is a cone-tip nozzle that will give a round application. The other is a fan tip, which comes with a dial to adjust the angle when spraying. It also comes with instructions on top of the box, which is handy.

There are a bunch of things that are unique about this product. It’s a moisture-cured product, meaning it will still cure even if applied to a wet surface. Most other products are chemically cured and need dry surfaces to work properly, but Great Stuff Wide Spray will actually work better if the surface is a little wet.

It’s important to remember to shake foam products for at least 60 seconds before applying them, which helps mix the blowing agent with the foam chemical itself. The can must also be upside down to ensure the blowing agent and foam mix, so the product will fully disperse.
