Trex Company has introduced Trex Refuge, a cellular PVC decking line engineered for fire-prone and Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) zones where stricter building codes apply.

Third-party tested to meet ASTM E84 Class A Flame Spread requirements and IWUIC ASTM E2768 Ignition Resistance Standards, Refuge is approved for installation in areas where traditional wood and many composite decking products cannot be used. The boards feature a wire-brushed grain pattern and come in two colorways: Point Reyes, a cool coastal grey, and Martis Valley, a warm sun-washed beige.

Boards are available in 1"×16' and 1"×20' solid, square-edge profiles and are compatible with existing Trex Fascia and Trex Hideaway hidden fasteners. Like other Trex products, Refuge requires no sanding, staining, or sealing and is backed by a 50-year Limited Residential Warranty.
