Best practice: Recently Nick increased his marketing budget and invested in a CRM system that either places leads in a short-term nurturing campaign or sets a meeting with a sales rep. This has allowed Remodeling Envy to spend less time in the sales process and to increase its close rate. Nick currently gets a 2.17 percent click-through rate from the company’s ads, and 1 percent of those visit the website and supply an email address. This starts them receiving a series of “lead magnets,” including articles such as “8 Questions to Ask Your Remodeler.” So far, the system has been a success. “It’s really freed up our time to focus on the right customers,” Nick says.
