The large kitchen island (above) was built with a nano-crystallized glass countertop and an additional stainless steel sink for prep.
To create a more open floor plan, the kitchen and dining room were combined into a single space (below), which required knocking out a doorway, removing the kitchen cabinets from the former east wall (now a walkway), and installing new ones on the north and south walls; building a walk-in pantry with a sliding barn door; and, for aesthetics, designing and installing a coffered ceiling.
