In the past three years, Pittsburgh-based hardware store chain Busy Beaver has made a series of moves to position itself as a serious player in the hardware retail space. Since 2015, the company has added two new facilities, hired dozens of new employees and partnered with TrueValue, a decision described at the time by Busy Beaver Marketing Director Steven Derr to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as a way to help the company expand more aggressively.
Closing out 2017, the company’s pace continued, as it announced five new stores will be opening in early 2018, including a 50,000-square-foot facility in Grove City, Pa., which will employ upwards of 35 full- and part-time employees.
