National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers named Mike Nagel, CGR, CAPS, of Men at Work Chicago, the 2011 Remodeler of the Year in recognition of his professional remodeling achievements and support of industry professionalism, according to a press release. The award was given at the NAHB Remodelers awards gala held last week during the Remodeling Show in Chicago.

"Mike Nagel is a strong advocate for professionalism in the remodeling industry and has led successful businesses for 25 years," said NAHB Remodelers Chairman Bob Peterson, CGR, CAPS, CGP, a remodeler from Fort Collins, Colo. "I'm excited to present this award to a remodeler who has achieved success in business, contributed to community service causes and represents remodeling industry concerns to all levels of government."

Nagel joined NAHB Remodelers in 1992 and has served multiple times in local leadership positions for the association. He is currently the state association president and was Chairman of NAHB Remodelers nationally in 2007. In addition to industry accomplishments, he manages a prosperous remodeling firm, conducts speaking engagements on remodeling topics and advocates on behalf of remodeler concerns to government agencies and elected representatives.

The Remodeler of the Year award was presented with support from Qualified Remodeler magazine and the Pella Corporation.
