Best Practice: This past year, Cramer spearheaded an initiative to obtain more customer reviews. To that end, she personally calls every client after their project is completed and asks them to rate the experience. If the homeowner is anything less than completely satisfied, Cramer immediately alerts the right people. If the customer is happy, she then asks them to review Lindus online. This practice has had two positive outcomes: First, it allows Lindus to formally recognize high-performing installers, which has been good for morale. Second, Cramer’s calls have produced impressive increases in the number of reviews for the company (Facebook: 70%; Yelp: 40%; Houzz: 33%; Angie’s List: 30%). Lindus Construction finds that it’s better for the calls to come from an experienced employee who hasn’t had prior interaction with the customer.
