Home Depot Expands Express Delivery Nationwide
The Home Depot on Aug. 18 announced the nationwide roll out of Express Delivery, giving its Pro customers in U.S. markets access to thousands of products from local stores in three hours or less for a small flat fee, with no membership required.
The service uses more than 2,000 Home Depot stores as local fulfillment hubs. Eligible products include plumbing and electrical supplies, hardware, paint, tools, adhesives, caulk, and other frequently needed jobsite materials.
For Pros, the service is designed to help keep projects moving when crews run short of materials or need supplies quickly. Customers can see whether products qualify for Express Delivery on product pages and at checkout.
“Whether you’re a DIYer … or a Pro running short on adhesives and caulk for a time-sensitive job, Express Delivery makes it easier than ever for our customers to get the supplies they need, right when they need them most,” said Jordan Broggi, EVP of Interconnected Retail.
The Home Depot said it expects to introduce even faster delivery speeds in the coming months. The company also offers free same-day delivery on orders of $25 or more placed by 4 p.m.
The retailer said its broader delivery network now delivers more than 65% of in-stock parcel products the same day or the next day, while approximately 55% of in-stock big and bulky orders arrive within two days.
