Heating elements are woven into UnderFloor mats, which install between 16-inch joist spaces to provide electric radiant heat under existing wood subfloors. The mats are secured within an inch of the subfloor’s underside, and foil-faced insulation fills the joist space to improve heat transfer to the finished floor above. The mats come in various lengths.
