According to Construction Dive, selling granite countertops to homeowners tends to be easier than selling energy-efficient upgrades.

However, research shows that nearly 80 percent of homeowners and homebuyers say they want to live in a “green” home.

“One of the reasons more homeowners and building managers don’t upgrade to “green” features like high-efficiency HVAC systems and solar-powered water heaters is that they don’t understand them,” Construction Dive says.
