Festool Expands Lineup of Cordless Tools

Festool's new lineup of cordless tools and batteries promise more power and easier use.

Festool has expanded its cordless tool lineup with new tools and batteries aimed at jobsite professionals. The centerpiece battery offering is the new TBX 4 Tabless Battery, which uses tabless cell technology to deliver longer runtime, higher power output, faster charging, and extended service life. Festool claims it supports 68% more screws per charge and 43% more sanding per charge compared with standard batteries, and charges twice as fast. Integrated Bluetooth enables automatic dust extractor activation and battery monitoring through the Festool app. The updated BP 18 Li 5.0 HP-ASI HighPower Battery offers up to 50% more power than its predecessor.

On the tool side, the HLC 82 Cordless Planer features a brushless EC-TEC motor and single-knife helical cutterhead for smooth, quiet results with depth adjustment up to 3/32". The OFKC 500 Cordless Edge Router is a compact unit with 1/256" depth adjustment accuracy. The MFKC 700 Cordless Modular Edge Router handles trimming, chamfering, and edge work with a wide base and micro-adjustability. The DOMINO DFC 500 Cordless Joiner, announced earlier this year, rounds out the lineup.

The TBX 4 and BP 18 Li 5.0 HP-ASI batteries are $85 each. The HLC 82 Planer is $449, the OFKC 500 is $399, the MFKC 700 is $499, and the DOMINO DFC 500 is $1,279.
