The Crain No. 835 Heavy-Duty Undercut Saw is a 13-amp corded saw designed for undercutting doors in place, inside corner areas, masonry walls, and hearths. Height adjustment is slip-proof from flush to 1" above the floor using dual lead screws. The aluminum ratchet front handle folds down to access toe spaces. The 6½" blade handles doors up to 1⅝" thick without removal.

“Architects said, ‘Oh, we're going to do sill replacements. We're going to do an exact historic sill.’ Well, how are we going to get these cut? Am I using a multi-tool? You know, a Sawzall is not going to work because I need nice, clean cuts. They go, ‘Oh, just use an undercut saw.’”

The lower-RPM motor is geared for higher torque and reduced dust output. A dust port accommodates a vacuum attachment for further dust collection. The saw ships with a carbide-tipped blade (No. 836), masonry composition blade (No. 805), carrying case, blade wrench, and instructions. The No. 835 retails for $419 at Burns Tools.
