FENIX Innovative Materials

We’re starting to play more with a product called FENIX, which is a veneer product. We’re considering putting it in our new space and have been playing with it for a while. It’s a pretty remarkable material that doesn’t spot when you touch it. It’s like elevating a laminate, if you will. Made from over 60% paper and 30-40% next-generation resins. FENIX has heat-healing properties, doesn't show fingerprints, and is very forgiving if it gets knocked around.

We’ve know about FENIX for about 8 years, and it keeps getting better and better. We hired a designer who worked for Formica (which distributes FENIX), and reintroduced the product to us. FENIX comes in many colors and product lines, including NanoTech Matte (NTM), NanoTech Alloy (NTA), and NTM Bloom. It has a different feel to it that's really amazing and is suitable for countertops, cabinetry, tabletops, and comes in a variety of thicknesses.

It’s just a really fun, interesting material with color and performance.
