Envision Outdoor Living Products has added Cool Tread Technology to its Ridge Premium capped composite decking line, extending a feature previously reserved for its higher-end Distinction collection to a more accessible price point.

Cool Tread Technology delivers a surface that runs up to 25% cooler, with up to 33% better traction and up to 61% less moisture absorption compared to leading competitors—performance claims the company says matter most in high-sun, high-heat climates. Ridge Premium with Cool Tread launches in three new colorways: Baja Tide (warm golden tones), Silver Drift (soft seaside grey), and Kodiak Bay (deep grey-brown).

All Ridge Premium boards are manufactured using Envision's proprietary Compress Technology, which bonds an EverGrain Core with a high-density cap for a board the company says resists staining, splintering, cracking, rot, and insects without requiring sanding, staining, or sealing. The fluted-bottom board profile features a wider edge that provides additional screw-driving clearance for faster installation. Boards are available in square-edge and grooved-edge profiles in 12', 16', and 20' lengths.

Existing Ridge Premium colors are stocked at Lowe's, with 16-foot boards generally ranging from roughly $35 - $50 per board, depending on color and profile. The new Cool Tread colorways are a fresh launch; confirm availability and pricing with your local dealer. Ridge Premium carries a 25-year residential and 10-year commercial limited warranty.
