Laid between tile (or stone or marble) and the subfloor by a tile installer and then connected by an electrician, the Nuheat floor-warming system is designed to heat the floor to 85-88 degrees. Nuheat mats can fit any room shape or area, the company says, and at 1/8 inch thick they can be placed in existing rooms without significantly adding to floor height. Wires are evenly spaced to eliminate cold spots.
