The time of year when homeowners are thinking about sprucing up their homes is the perfect time to promote the importance of choosing a qualified professional remodeler. It’s hard to believe that a year has passed so quickly since last year’s successes, but it’s almost time again for National Home Remodeling Month.
If you haven’t already done so, now is the time to be in touch with your local council to find out about plans for the month, and to join in this important campaign. May is the month to take advantage of the national attention given to Home Remodeling Month and make consumers aware of your business and the remodeling industry. Parades or showcases of remodeled homes are effective means of highlighting the work of professional remodelers and stimulating homeowner interest in remodeling projects.
Promotion of any public service projects undertaken by your company and council is an excellent public relations vehicle and a welcome addition to the Home Remodeling Month calendar. One of the most important services provided throughout the month is making consumers aware of how to avoid the unscrupulous and unprofessional contractors that do such damage to the industry and stick with qualified professionals.
Contact your local council or the Remodelors Council at NAHB headquarters at (800) 368-5242 Ext. 216 for more information.
