Products Are Paramount at The New American Remodel Home 2027
The two official show homes of the 2027 NAHB International Builders’ Show are The New American Remodel and The New American Home, and both give attendees a first-hand look at how the latest building products, design trends, and construction techniques come together in remarkable style.
The New Americal Remodel (TNAR) 2027 reimagines a 7,774-square-foot Tuscan-style residence into a contemporary space with a brighter, California coastal aesthetic. Remodelers are encouraged to tour the home during IBS, which returns to Las Vegas, Feb. 2-4. The show homes are exclusively open to registered show attendees.
Located in the MacDonald Highlands community of Henderson, Nev., the home is being transformed by Primaris Custom Homes and Virtue Modern. Built in 2004, the original look featured interior stacked stone, arches, and dark features throughout. The remodel preserves much of the original work while updating the home with a lighter, brighter, and more modern design.
The remodel touches nearly every part of the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home. Inside, there’s a refreshed great room with a new wine cellar and fireplace, a reworked entry foyer with curved staircase, a redesigned kitchen, a new gym, and a reimagined primary suite with direct access to the backyard. Outside, extensive landscaping complements a new outdoor kitchen with an expansive entertainment area and an exclusive rooftop lounge and bar.
Rather than building from the ground up, TNAR 2027 shows how an existing home can be redone with strategic design choices and an updated layout. Attendees can see how products look and work inside a finished space and how individual product decisions work together rather than simply seeing them displayed on the show floor.
For remodelers and designers, TNAR 2027 provides a valuable look at how they can incorporate today’s building solutions into their work. Understandably, not everyone is working on a nearly 8,000-square-foot remodel, but the ideas they will see are scalable. A wine cellar can become a compact wet bar, for example, and a rooftop lounge can inspire a deck or patio. A full-scale gym can become a small fitness area.
Whatever your project size or budget, the official show homes offer concepts that can be adapted for your clients. Bring your phone to capture details, color palettes, and the ways in which rooms flow into one another. Those photos and notes can spark conversations with homeowners who want you to reimagine their spaces and they can provide you with a reference when pitching a whole-home refresh.
