Know Your Client

Snapshot of a survey that'll help you understand your clients better

By By James F. McClister January 23, 2018
This article first appeared in the January 2018 issue of Pro Remodeler.

Understanding your business means understanding your clients. That’s why national flooring company Empire Today surveyed over 400 homeowners, all of which had finished some type of home improvement project (small or large) in the last 36 months. It found that Millennials tend to spend more ($4,537) on home improvement projects than any other age group; that men are more likely to go over budget than women; and that when people finance a project, they spend at least $3,000 more, on average, than with any other payment method.
