The biggest news out of IBS was the announcement that the National Kitchen & Bath Association agreed to co-locate their Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) with IBS beginning in 2014. The two events, IBS and KBIS, will remain separate shows held concurrently at the Las Vegas Convention Center though 2016. The combined shows are being billed as Design & Construction Week, and will include the SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas events starting in 2015.

The energy auditing market is increasing therefore remodelers should consider adopting thermal imaging technology and other energy auditing technology as part of a holistic approach to home improvement.

With the recent publication of the ICC 700 National Green Building Standard (NGBS) professional remodelers now have a new path to certifying green remodeling projects. If your clients want efficient, healthy homes, obtaining NGBS certification for their remodel is one way to demonstrate your commitment to healthy homes.
