Anyone can have solar energy and the benefits that come with it—even renters—with CraftStrom’s DIY solar kit.
This solar advancement can be an add-on for some clients and shows the innovation happening in the solar energy arena.
The Most Valuable Product Award winning system consists of flexible, lightweight solar panels less than an inch thick and just 6 to 8 pounds each, producing 200W. These panels can be mounted and then plugged into any standard power outlet and connected to Wi-Fi. CraftsStrom says this begins producing solar power immediately and takes just 10 minutes to install while offering a 10-year warranty.
The company’s Power Meter runs the system, which does not require an interconnection agreement, and maintains that your energy remains off the utility grid. According to the company, if more energy is produced than needed, the Power Meter throttles the output or charges to plug-and-play smart batteries.
The in-home battery system allows users to control and monitor the usage of battery energy in real-time. These batteries can be used as home backups or taken on the go for off-the-grid use. Energy produced by the panels can be monitored through the app.
