Alder and knotty alder are woods being used in cabinetry to bring a new dimension in appearance and design. Alder is a Northwest hardwood with a smooth, warm look. Alder is used with a Cornerstone Shaker Square door in a kitchen that has all the simplicity in Shaker design but also all the functional features. A modified L-shaped island with a commercial cooktop maximizes the space between the island and the counters. Main kitchen area features glass-mullioned doors to show off cook books and China.
