The addition of a fourth stile enabled most Alterna door systems to pass the rigorous tests, allowing them to withstand extreme weather conditions, including hurricane force winds up to 72 lb. per sq. ft. The combination of a fusion-crafted wood skin and four laminated-veneer lumber stiles greatly reduces any chance of buckling, warping and twisting, while the high-density polystyrene core exceeds current energy-code requirements.
