A sectional, shingle over ridge vent designed to extract heat and moisture out of the attic has been introduced. The Xtractor Vent is available in two styles. Xtractor Vent XLP is a low-profile ridge vent designed for fast installation with the use of a nail gun. Xtractor Vent X18 is designed to provide maximum ventilation - 18 sq. in. of net-free area per linear foot. Both are injection molded, polypropylene ridge vents made in 4-ft. sections. The vents contain an external and an internal sine-wave- shaped baffle that prevents wind-driven rain and snow infiltration.
