The first "intelligent" electric water heater, the Maytag Series 12 PC features an energy-saving, programmable electronic thermostat control that allows the homeowner to reduce the temperature of hot water stored in the tank automatically during standby or no-demand periods (such as daytime hours when no one is home, or nighttime hours when the family is asleep). During normal periods, the electronic controller will automatically schedule the unit to raise and maintain water temperature to the desired level. Unit is available in 50- and 82-gal. capacities.
