Moisture-detection instruments with LCD or LED displays are designed to reveal mold-causing moisture after fire control, storm, water or other damage has occurred. The MMS assesses moisture levels in the air as well as in building materials. The Surveymaster SM, a dual-mode moisture meter, uses pin electrodes, deep wall probes or noninvasive search mode. And the Hygromaster measures the relative humidity of wall cavities, floors and ambient conditions.
