Police Apologize After Labeling Roofing Business a Scam
The police department of the Boston suburb of Mansfield, has publicly apologized to Easton Roofing for including the legitimate roofing company in a post warning residents and businesses about alleged scam contractors in the area. The post has since been deleted, but Chris Fitzsimons, Easton's owner, believes the incident has already cost him business, and will continue to do so going forward. Mansfield police have launched an investigation into the claim that they did not reach out to Fitzsimons or other Easton employees prior to publishing the post.
