Distinguishing the Interior Space of a Home

Aug. 26, 2016

The modern aesthetic of today’s contemporary homes provides an ideal interior environment for a custom railing system.

“Most staircases are open, minimalistic staircases, but you still need a railing, and we really like the look of a stainless-steel cable railing,” says Ryan Hanson, Partner at Sustainable Nine Design + Build in Minneapolis.

Other infill options for stainless-steel railings include glass, bar or wire mesh panels.

“We’ve also done some three-season porches where we use railing and screens on the outside of them, and I think it looks fantastic,” Hanson says.

Here’s a video excerpt from a panel discussion hosted by AGS Stainless at the recent Dwell on Design exhibition and conference in Los Angeles.
