Worried about the labor shortage? Take a lesson from Caterpillar - yes, that Caterpillar, the heavy equipment manufacturer.
The company has released a new marketing video that features hard-hatted construction workers rapping about how much they love their earth-moving machines. Sure, they're selling equipment, but this video campaign is pretty obviously aimed at a younger segment of the potential construction labor force. The lyrics, performed by what we assume are actors doing a good job of lip synching, include lines like this: "Awright ride in my dozer, I take pride in my dozer, and when my wife is mad I go and hide in my dozer."
The company's website offers downloads of the complete lyrics and a ringtone. Check it out on YouTube.
