A Construction Blooper to Avoid

Building Science blogger Allison Bailes shares a picture of a construction site blunder that has the building “sticking its tongue out” at passersby.

The picture of a building under construction in Atlanta reveals fiberglass batts peeling out and drooping in between studs that are too close together. To make things worse, a part of the wall has been covered in house wrap, and Bailes wonders if sheathing will be installed at all.

“Perhaps the framers hadn't finished their work when the house wrap and insulation crews arrived,” he writes. “Rather than have to come back another time, they just did their jobs hoping the framers would catch up.”
