Drones on jobsites can provide a cost effective and quick way to acquire needed information, The Lien Zone reports.
But using these unmanned aerial vehicles comes with a significant risk of liability. According to The Lien Zone, “a contractor’s standard commercial general liability policy will likely not provide coverage as drones are usually classified as excluded aircraft.”
Contractors are advised to first investigate coverage alternatives before using drones on a jobsite.
