Remodeling business coach and columnist Shawn McCadden shares recent Massachusetts building code amendments.
Changes include added provisions on what masonry elements should be considered as part of the lateral load resisting system for buildings, an amendment to proactively address potential radon contamination in new one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses, as well as a requirement that individuals testing duct leaage and mechanical ventilation must be certified.
