Technology: Chinese Company 3-D Prints Cement Chateau and 5 Storey Apartment Building

Will 3-D printing become the future of construction? One Chinese company tested the waters, with astonishing results.

The structures WinSun Decoration Design Engineering Co. “printed” are still far from complete edifices, missing insulation, wiring, plumbing and heating. But they’ve managed to construct a five-story building and French-style chateau using fiber reinforced cement made from waste materials and construction debris squirted out of a 3-D printer.
