Starting in April 2016, the elderly may not have to walk or get out of bed with Panasonic Corp.’s nursing-care robot.
Panasonic will first sell to hospitals and nursing-care facilities, at approximately $9,200, and then consider selling the robots for home use. Sales of the product are expected to total more than $300 million by 2025.
