Green Employment Increased More Than Twofold in Second Quarter

Sept. 4, 2014

There’s a miniboom in renewable energy, Fortune reports, adding more than 5,300 new jobs in April through June.

Fortune cites a report from Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2), a nonprofit association of businesses and investors that tracks green job creation. The data shows that solar installations jumped a record 41 percent last year, with most of the growth concentrated in residential installations in states as diverse in sun exposure as Arizona and Massachusetts.

Find out the numbers for other forms of renewable energy sources in this article on Fortune.
