Conference Calls: The Best Time to do Other Things

The Harvard Business Review spills the beans—more than half of surveyed Americans admit to doing other things during a conference call.

In an illuminating write-up of a research on conference calls done by InterCall, a Harvard Business Review blog reveals that out of the 530 American surveyed, 65 percent admitted to doing other work during a conference call, 63 percent say they check and respond to emails, while 55 percent are eating or making food. And let’s not forget the 47 percent that go to the restroom during a conference call.
