Oklahoma agency warns homeowners of phony shingle recyclers

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality is warning homeowners victimized by recent tornadoes to be wary of companies claiming to be “roof shingle recyclers.” Currently, DEQ say officials say there are no permitted shingle recycling facilities in the state. When old shingles are replaced, they are supposed to be taken to a permitted landfill or recycler. Read more here.
