New Kansas law requires roofing contractors to register with the state

Gov. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.) has signed into law the Kansas Roofing Contractor Registration Act, which requires residential and commercial roofing contractors to register with the state. 'This act will help to protect Kansas home and building owners from unscrupulous activity, especially following a severe storm,' says Kansas Roofing Association (KRA) president Steve Douglass. 'It allows Kansas to join surrounding states that have implemented similar laws and will help to discourage deceitful practices in Kansas.'
