Half of New Jersey’s $1.83 billion federal Sandy relief fund will go to homeowners, businesses

Of the $1.83 billion in federal recovery aid for New Jersey, half will be spent to assist homeowners and business owners whose properties were damaged during Hurricane Sandy. Some of the money will be used to provide grants and loans for eligible residents for flood mitigation, resettlement, rebuilding, and construction of new housing units, which is expected to create thousands of jobs.
