March 2, 2000
Construction

Imagine never having to stand in line at city hall for a permit ever again. Since January, NetClerk, a South San Franciso company, has been making it easier for Bay Area remodelers to fill out, submit and archive building permit applications. The service, which is available for $50 to $2,500 per month depending on volume of permits the remodeler does, should be available in 2,000 cities by year end, according to Jon Fisher, CEO. For more information on NetClerk, visit www.netclerk.com.

Labor To raise awareness of opportunities for women in home construction, the Women Build department of Habitat for Humanity has launched First Ladies Build--where first ladies and women governors participate in the construction of a Habitat house. To participate in or support the initiative, which runs through September 2000, contact (912) 924-6935.
